INGREDIENTS
4 thick slices of rye/sourdough bread
6-8 slices of roast beef
6 slices of Emmental cheese
6 tbsp sauerkraut
2-3 tbsp mayonnaise
2-3 gherkins finely sliced
Russian dressing
1 shallot finely diced
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp horseradish
3 tbsp mayo
1 tsp tabasco sauce
RECIPE
Make the Russian dressing by combining all the ingredients in a bowl
Spread the outside of the bread with mayo and heat a pan, toast the mayonnaise side and set aside
Stack the slice of roast beef and heat them through in a pan
Top the beef with slices of the cheese and melt
Add the beef and cheese to the bottom layer of the bread, top with sauerkraut and Russian dressing
Finish with gherkins and the top layer of bread
Slut this up to max by adding another layer of cheese to the top and grilling until melted
