INGREDIENTS
1/2 white onion diced.
1 Burger patty
1 crusty roll (long)
1 tomato chopped in slices
Iceberg lettuce
Mayo
Ketchup
4 x American Cheese
1 cube Chicken stock
handful of chopped jar jalepenos
Crispy shallots
Pickles
RECIPE
Fry your diced onions on medium heat for 3/4 minutes until softened
Add your jalapenos and cook for a further minute
Add your burger patty / minced beef to the mix and chop it up until mixed with the onion and jalapeno mix and season.
Sprinkle your chicken stock cube into the mixture and chop some more
Make sure you mix it thoroghly keep cooking until the meat starts to develop a nice colour and has a decent crust. Another 5/6 mins.
Shape your mix into a rectangle that would fit in your sandwich add 4 slices of cheese on top and let melt.
You have two options here - chop into the cheese or let cheese sit on top. The choice is yours. We let ours sit on top until nicely melted.
Meanwhile take your roll and press down with a heavy pan to toast the roll.
Once your bread is done add a layer of ketchup and mayo followed by lettuce, tomatoes and pickles.
With a spatula carefully try and take all your meat mixture and layer onto the roll.
Finish with crispy shallots
Wrap your sandwich in tinfoil as it will be quite big and this will stop it going everywhere.
Cut in half and you are ready to eat.
